Parent Helpers and Parents & Friends Association
At Lalor North Primary School, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school create the foundation for student success. We warmly welcome and greatly value the involvement of our families in all aspects of school life. Your participation not only strengthens our school community but also plays a vital role in supporting our students to achieve their full potential.
There are many meaningful ways for parents and carers to be involved—whether formally through School Council and the Fundraising Committee, or informally through volunteering, attending school events, or supporting fundraising efforts. Every contribution, big or small, helps us create a connected, vibrant, and supportive school environment.
Fundraising Parent Committee
Our Parent Fundraising Committee is an active and enthusiastic group of parents and carers who work together to support the school through community events, fundraising activities, and special initiatives. The Fundraising Committee is a wonderful way to meet other families, share ideas, and help make a positive impact on our school.
All parents are warmly invited to join the Fundraising Committee or attend meetings and events as everyone is welcome. Meetings will be held on Fridays at 2.30pm twice a term in the staffroom.
Classroom Helpers
Volunteering as a classroom helper is a fantastic way to be directly involved in childrens learning journey as well as support the wider school community. Classroom helpers assist with a range of tasks throughout the year and work closely with teachers to support students in literacy, numeracy, excursions and hands-on activities. You may also like to help in the library, breakfast club or special days.
If you're interested in becoming a classroom helper, please speak to the office as we would love to have you involved.
Please note: all classroom helpers and PFA members are required to hold a current Working with Children Check and participate in the Volunteer Induction prior to volunteering in our school.
